A long remembering

The season is gathering us into ourselves to reflect on the year that has passed. She’s helping us to get in touch with our inner-light within the darkness.
The leaves have dropped, the snow has already hardened into stiff shapes paving our sidewalks, as we reach for our coziest blankets and warm drinks, here in Minnesota.
Mmmmm. It’s a mulling kind of time. It’s a cinnamon-apple-cranberry-orange with a dash of nutmeg kind of time.
It’s one of my favorite times of the year. I am a person who loves permission to move slowly, so the collective slowing down feels so nourishing to me - and the time to sit and reflect on my year is a way to say thank you. It is a gratitude practice for our life, paying homage to the thresholds, growths, deaths, and births that have come and gone since the last time we gathered for a long remembering.
